Learn about newborn health so that you’re capable of caring for your
baby. You can say goodbye to the stress of trying to figure out every
little thing.
Develop confidence so you can stop worrying that you are missing something big or messing everything up (spoiler on that one: you’re not!).
Carve out a balance so you can start savoring your time with your baby.
You've probably gotten lots of advice already, and maybe you’ve read a few parenting books. You’re pretty good at figuring things out, and it seems like parenting should come naturally.
The thing is...
when it comes to adjusting to parenthood, there's no such thing as just dipping a toe in the water. In reality, it's more like being thrown in the deep end.
Your new role is going to consume your time, brain power, and strength.
It will feel like every time you turn around, you’ve got another question about your newborn, but you’re swamped with conflicting information everywhere.
"What if I'm missing something or messing up?" You aren't going to have time or energy to stress over every little thing. Actually, you might find that you lose sleep wondering if that little thing is really a big thing.
Don't worry.
Other programs overload you so much that you may actually feel more overwhelmed, but this solution works because each week covers EVERYTHING you need and ONLY what you need, in BITE SIZES.
I'm a pediatrician mama of three kids, and just like you I'm often overwhelmed by that feeling of uncertainty with so many decisions and so much responsibility as a parent.
Here's what I know: God paired you and your newborn together, and you have what it takes to take care of your baby.
I had my first baby when I was in pediatrics residency, so you could say I had a jumpstart on what to expect and how to take care of my baby. But I still struggled because I didn’t understand two things:
1. There is so much personal growth ahead.
You are going to love the new you!
As you may have already guessed, the mom role required me to put others first, to keep showing up, and to be patient with my spouse and my needy baby. I thought I already knew something about humility, perseverance, and patience, but I had a lot to learn (and still do)
2. We learn how to become a family together.
This is more than a new to-do list.
I wasn’t just learning how to do the tasks a mother does. I was learning how to care for a unique little human. Simultaneously, my baby was learning how to BE a unique little human, my spouse was learning how to be a dad, and we were learning how to partner in parenting together.
Having survived the newborn period three times, I can confidently say

I was surprised at how thorough everything was. I really wish I had all the resources when I first became pregnant. The checklists would have been so nice when I felt so lost in the beginning. But I loved how nice it was to be able to listen to the podcasts on my own time. I often listened to them while I breastfed my daughter, and they were very encouraging to me.
My biggest challenge when I became a mother was learning how to adjust my schedule. Between caring for a newborn, sleepless nights, and endless diaper changes, finding time for self care was extremely difficult. It made me feel stressed, anxious, and worried. I hesitated to join the podclass at first because I thought it would take a lot of that limited time, but after I signed up, I looked forward to joining the classes and listening to the podcasts, and I felt more comfortable in my abilities as a mother.
I was super thankful that you took the time to explain all the newborn tests and such too so we would feel better informed when it all was happening.

Someday very soon, you will reach beyond the newborn stage, and your baby will be smiling, interactive, playful, and sleeping longer! That's the goal, and it is coming!
But don't look back with regret on the tiny days!
What surprised me the most was how much I learned. I thought I knew everything, but this course taught me so much more than I ever could have imagined.
It gave me so much to think about and I loved learning throughout this course. For example I loved the talk about a living will and how to navigate insurance because that’s so confusing for so many people. I found it extremely valuable and helpful to a new mother and wouldn't change anything! I was really impressed with how well the course flowed from one topic to the next, and I loved the tone of the podcast.
I do not have many friends who are moms, so it made me feel less alone in my struggles. I was very happy to feel heard.

We're ALL tired of all the confusion in the newborn parenting world.
New mamas like you can easily be overwhelmed by conflicting, confusing, or impossible parenting advice and medical information from friends, family, internet searches, podcasts, and books.
The grabby peddlers, the alarmists - and even the folks who mean well - may be detracting from the main thing: you and your baby, your beautiful family.
Let us show you how this challenging newborn season will actually successfully build the framework for your future as a mom.
I have really loved the medical and biblical background of the podcasts. I think both of these insights help to ease my anxiety and build me up in confidence as a mother. I love how everything is laid out by the week to be expecting different things with our newborns.
Surefooted Family helped my family feel more confident in what we were doing as parents with our first child. There is so much to learn and everyone has an opinion on how things should be done. I loved that this class came not only from the perspective of a pediatrician, but also a Christian. It was very encouraging and empowering for me.
If you are on the fence about taking this course, you should definitely should join - earlier than I did if you can! There is so much wisdom in these classes and so many tools to help you along this motherhood journey. This class is also very encouraging and points to Jesus every step of the way. There are tools to help you prepare from early pregnancy on. And then, once your baby is here, you will have someone who can walk you through everything and answer so many questions that you may have. It is so convenient! This podclass is encouraging and empowering to new mothers!
This class is perfect for a new mother who has lots of questions (I would venture to say all new mothers). I think personally I was a very anxious mom, and I think this class helped ease those anxieties. This podclass is encouraging and empowering to new mothers!
When I first had my baby, my biggest challenge was adjusting to my new "sleep schedule" - I felt exhausted and sleep deprived! I really like the idea of doing a "podclass" that is convenient to everyone's schedule. The beauty of a podcast is you can jump around if needed, and the episodes were thorough and very informational.
I really appreciated the overall tone of the podcast. Being a mother has so many challenges and the podcast put a lot of things into perspective for me.
