Hi, I'm Dr. Becca!

I'm a board-certified pediatrician (MD), lactation consultant (IBCLC), Christian mama (!!) of three.

I know how it feels to hold your newborn close and wonder if you’re doing it right.  You’re reading, researching, and praying—but still unsure whether you’re doing enough.

Here's what I know: God paired you and your newborn, and you have what it takes to take care of your baby.

I’ve been there. I created this podclass to be the voice of calm in the chaos.  Not another checklist.  Not more pressure.  Just steady, week-by-week guidance to walk with you from day one through week eight.

Pop in your earbuds while rocking your baby.  I’ll be right there, gently guiding you through the early days—reminding you what matters, what’s normal, and how to breathe through.

More About Me
  • Week by week, our audio sessions guide her through preparations and her first two months with her new baby and take all the guesswork out of the first 8 weeks of parenting.

  • Dr. Becca Susong, board certified pediatrician, gives her curated information in bite sizes tailored to the age of her newborn.  She'll have answers she can act on when the questions come at night, over the weekend, and before her next doctor's visit.
  • This is perfect for moms who don't want to reinvent the wheel and refuse to waste time, energy, or money sorting through piles of books, podcasts, and blogs trying to piece together solutions.

I truly understand!

I had my first baby when I was in pediatrics residency, so you could say I had a jumpstart on what to expect and how to take care of my baby.  But I still struggled because I didn’t understand two things:

You are going to love the new you!

As you may have already guessed, the mom role required me to put others first, to keep showing up, and to be patient with my spouse and my needy baby.  I thought I already knew something about humility, perseverance, and patience, but I had a lot to learn (and still do). The postpartum season gives you lots of opportunities to grow!

2. We learn how to become a family together.

This is more than a new to-do list.

I wasn’t just learning how to do the tasks a mother does.  I was learning how to care for a unique little human.  Simultaneously, my baby was learning how to BE a unique little human, my spouse was learning how to be a dad, and we were learning how to partner in parenting together in our new postpartum world.
